The Ghan offers 3-day and 2-night journeys between Adelaide and Darwin, as well as 4-day and 3-night Ghan Expedition rail journey going south from Darwin to Adelaide. The train does not operate during the Kimberley rainy season (mid-November to March). Most of the northwest is affected by the weather and the humid heat then.
