This is the star attraction.
After leaving Darwin, the tour travels approximately 60 kilometres southeast towards the Adelaide River and the Marrakai wetlands.
Here, you board a purpose-built crocodile cruise boat and head onto the river.
The Adelaide River is famous for its population of large saltwater crocodiles. During the cruise, your experienced guides use controlled feeding techniques to encourage the crocodiles to rise from the water.
And when one of these enormous reptiles launches upwards, you quickly understand why this experience has become one of Darwin's signature wildlife attractions.
The cruise lasts approximately one hour, giving you plenty of opportunities to watch the crocodiles and photograph them from the boat.
While the crocodiles are unquestionably the stars, the Adelaide River is a fascinating wildlife environment in its own right.
