CORAL ADVENTURER CABINS

Explore Coral Adventurer cabins and suites with our expert guide to the best balcony staterooms, deck locations and accommodation options for Kimberley expedition cruising.

What Is the Best Cabin on Coral Adventurer?

There is no single “best” cabin aboard Coral Adventurer — only the best cabin for your style of travel and budget.

For most travellers, the Explorer Deck Balcony Staterooms offer the strongest balance between:

  • comfort,
  • private outdoor space,
  • location,
  • and overall value.

Guests seeking a more premium experience often gravitate toward the Bridge Deck Balcony Suites, which provide:

  • larger living space,
  • premium positioning,
  • and enhanced privacy.

Meanwhile, travellers prioritising expedition value over luxury inclusions may find the Promenade Deck Staterooms perfectly adequate given how little time is typically spent inside the cabin during Kimberley expeditions. Coral Deck Staterooms provide the best budget option and tend to sell out first because of the price. Many people trade the creature comforts and space for a good deal, knowing that you really don't spend a lot of time in your cabins.

Note: solo cabins are available on most Coral Expeditions ships, but they are immensely popular and do sell out first. A solo supplement is normally about 25% for designated single traveller use, but once the allocation of solo cabins sell out, the supplment will be more.

Which Deck Is the Best on the Coral Adventurer?

Another "How big's a piece of string" question that really depends on personal preference more than anything else.

A rule of thumbs is that higher decks generally provide:

  • better panoramic scenery,
  • easier wildlife viewing,
  • and quieter cabin locations.

However, lower decks can sometimes offer:

  • slightly reduced ship movement,
  • easier access to expedition platforms,
  • and stronger overall value.

Guests sensitive to motion should generally consider:

  • midship cabins,
  • and lower deck positioning where possible.

In reality, you are on a small ship...you're not on monster Royal Caribbean ocean ship with 7,200 guests! And the Kimberley rarely has any major swell to contend with.

Cabin Choices on the Coral Adventurer

There are five categories of  Coral Adventurer Cabins on the vessel, all with outside facing windows of various sizes to accommodate their 120 passengers. There are also two categories of balcony suites too.

Which Coral Adventurer Cabin Suits Your Travel Style?

This is another "million dollar" question that we are best suited to answer having been on this ship many times before. What we can say is this. The photos on the Coral Expeditions website do not do the suites justice. They are much better to see in real life!

Choose a Bridge Deck Suite if you:

  • prefer more personal space,
  • enjoy private balcony relaxation,
  • appreciate premium positioning,
  • or are celebrating a special occasion.

Choose an Explorer Deck Balcony Cabin if you:

  • want the best all-round Kimberley cabin option,
  • value balcony access,
  • prefer strong value,
  • and want easy access to public areas.

Choose a Promenade or Coral Deck Cabin if you:

  • prioritise destination over luxury,
  • want to maximise expedition value,
  • spend minimal time indoors,
  • and are comfortable with a more practical cabin layout.

Yes. There are only two categories of stateroom that have balconies on the Coral Adventurer and these are the Bridge Deck Balcony Suite and the Explorer Deck Balcony Stateroom. Both have their own private balconies which are ideal for Kimberley scenery and wildlife viewing.

The rest of the staterooms off picture windows or port holes.

This is a roll of the dice answer, but if you wanted a balcony suite and didn't want to pay the full whack for it, then the Explorer Deck Balcony Staterooms tick most of the boxes. They are often considered the best balance of comfort, location and value.

Cabins aboard Coral Adventurer are well designed for expedition cruising, with modern bathrooms, ample storage and comfortable layouts. They are also very spacious, especially in the Bridge Deck Balcony suite. At 55.8 square metres, it is twice the size of all other categories. Cabins begin at 17 square metres.

Many guests prefer Explorer Deck and Bridge Deck cabins for their elevated views and quieter locations. Like all ships, the higher up you go, the more premium they feel. However, when it comes to noise, the ship is really quiet. No deck suffers from this.

Yes. Private balconies are highly valued in the Kimberley for wildlife viewing, photography and enjoying the scenery between excursions. They tend to sell out as quickly as the cheaper cabins.

The one thing we say at BlueSun Travel and Kimberley Boat cruises is that you are travelling a long distance. Often it is nicer to have a balcony on such long journeys, especially where there is so much to see and so much time on your hands. Mind you, we also say, "The whole ship is your balcony".
